Our Story
We are Tara and Tammy Henne, daughter and mother. Beginning in 2024, Shaggy Girls Cattle Company started with a search for purpose and fulfillment in life. This pursuit led us to the magnificent Scottish Highland breed, and we've been passionate about them ever since. We're located in Liberty, Texas, and are dedicated to breeding only the best bloodlines to deliver the highest quality cattle.
Both of us grew up on beef cattle ranches in Washington and also participated in showing beef steers and lambs in 4-H & FFA, furthering our knowledge of animal husbandry.
Tara is a full-time senior tax manager for businesses and Tammy works seasonally as a tax preparer for individuals. In their free time, they are found enjoying their pool, six dogs, and brushing cows.
